Our COVID-19 Safety Protocol

We take the risks of COVID-19 extremely seriously, and have implemented the following precautions to protect our pet sitters and clients. All pet sitters are required to do the following: - Pet sitters will be wearing a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times during each visit. - Pet sitters will be wearing disposable gloves at all times during each visit. The gloves will be disposed of after they have left your home, and a new pair will be used on each visit. - Pet sitters have been instructed to refrain from touching their face during a visit. - Pet sitters have been instructed to limit speaking during a visit, and if they see you, will offer a nod or wave. - Pet sitters will be completing a COVID-19 screening via an app on their phone each day before they go on visits. - Pet sitters will be in touch with management immediately if they begin experiencing symptoms or come into contact with someone who has symptoms. What we are asking of clients: - Please leave all supplies for the visit (food, treats, bowls, litter scoops, bags, leashes and harnesses, medications, cleaning supplies) out in an easily accessible location so that sitters will not have to touch cabinets, drawers, closets, and door handles to find them. - If you are in the home when your pet sitter arrives, please remain at least 6 feet away from your pet sitter and refrain from talking as much as possible (pet sitters have also been instructed to reduce talking and will offer a nod or wave). - Though we normally offer a full 30 minute visit to keep pets company, please let us know if you would rather we make the visit as efficient as possible in order to limit potential exposure in the home. - For traveling clients, we will ask you to complete a simple COVID-19 screening questionnaire before you leave on your trip. - For our regular clients who we see weekly, we will ask you to complete a simple COVID screening questionnaire once per week. - Please notify us immediately if you are experiencing symptoms or have come into contact with someone who has symptoms.
I confirm that I have read and agree to the policy.
Our Commitment to Racial Justice
*
We have all been watching the protests unfold across the globe in response to the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Rayshard Brooks, and far too many others. At Rebecca Marlin Pet Care, we have always been firmly committed to Black Lives Matter and to creating a diverse and inclusive environment for our pet sitters and clients, as well as giving back to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) members of our community. We also we wish to state here our policies regarding any racism that may occur as it relates to our staff, clients, and the communities we serve. At Rebecca Marlin Pet Care, we do not tolerate racism in any shape or form, either against our team members, against our clients, or against our communities. We recognize that our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and we want to ensure that our clients feel safe and valued by our management and staff. If we become aware of any form of racial discrimination or harassment committed by a team member either on the job or outside of their job, this will be grounds for termination. Additionally, we are committed to hiring and supporting a diverse team of pet sitters. We recognize that for our pet sitters, the client’s home is their workspace. We will make every effort to ensure that we can offer safe and welcoming work environments for all of our pet sitters. If we become aware of racial discrimination or harassment committed by a client, this will be grounds to terminate our service relationship. Thank you for being a member of the Rebecca Marlin Pet Care community, and for joining us in this commitment to stand against racism.
I confirm that I have read and agree to the policy.
Weapon-free Environment
*
Weapon-free environment: In an effort to ensure a safe working environment for our pet sitters, we require that any weapons such as guns and gun-related paraphernalia be securely stored and not visible in the areas of the home where pet sitters will be working with your pets.
I confirm that I have read and agree to the policy.
Visitors to the Home
*
Visitors to the home: Please inform us if you are expecting any other visitors to your home (gardeners, cleaners, neighbors, roommates, family members) during the time frames you have asked us to come care for your pet. If a pet sitter arrives at the home and believes there is an unexpected visitor inside, for example, if they see an unfamiliar car in the driveway, they have been instructed to remain outside the home and attempt to contact the client. If we cannot reach you to verify that the visitor is a known person, the visit will not be completed. Similarly, if you have asked neighbors to keep an eye on your home while you are out of town, please notify them that you are having pet sitters come to the home. Our sitters are a diverse group, and they may see different people coming by on different days. Any concerned neighbors are welcome to initiate a conversation with the sitter, who can provide identification that they work for our company.
I confirm that I have read and agree to the policy.
Thank you!
